Brief Overview of PDHRE and its Structure
PDHRE LA is the Latin American chapter of PDHRE-People's Movement for Human Rights Education, www.pdhre.org. Since its creation in 1989, PDHRE has worked worldwide with activities at the community level to develop the approaches and educational materials that are the key tools of the program; it is the institution that promoted the creation of the United Nation's Decade for Human Rights Education.
Currently, PDHRE LA promotes the formation of human rights communities throughout Latin America; Rosario being Human Rights City. Human rights cities exist, in part, through a partnership initiated on the basis of the spirit and strengths of two important international actors: PDHRE and the UNDP (The United Nations Development Programme).

A project on the horizon is The Latin American Institute for Human Rights Education, which would be a dependent of PDHRE-LA and would exist to plan distinct human rights educational activities.
