IPPF anuncia que está abierta una vacante de empleo para dirección
ejecutiva. Requisitos: 15 años de experiencia en salud sexual y
reproductiva, manejo fluido de ingles y castellano y comprensión del
portugues (más información debajo).

IPPF es una federación internacional que ofrece asistencia técnica y
capacitación en una variedad de áreas programáticas y en el fortalecimiento
de su capacidad institucional, incluyendo la evaluación y la redacción de
propuestas, en temas de salud y derechos sexuales y reproductivos.

*Deputy Director-International Planned Parenthood Federation-Western
Hemisphere Region* (*IPPFWHR*)

*IPPFWHR *has just adopted a new strategic plan with bold goals and we are
seeking a Deputy Director to support the Regional Director in reaching these
goals. If you have the knowledge, skills and passion needed to lead an
organization and create an optimal environment that supports staff to
promote the sexual and reproductive rights of people in our region and to
bring quality services to the most marginalized populations, this is the
place and this is the opportunity for you. We are looking for a candidate
who is a leader capable of inspiring others and guiding them to realize the
organization’s strategic vision.

The Deputy Director will work closely with Carmen Barroso, the Regional
Director,  with specific responsibility for the internal operations of the
organization, including providing oversight to the Directors of Programs,
Development/Public Affairs, Finance, Human Resources/Office Services and
Management Information Services, and fostering synergies among the large
variety of activities and programs of IPPF/WHR. This requires a commitment
to a coaching culture that inspires others to reach their highest potential
and a collaborative style to accomplishing goals. The person must be
 comfortable with serving in number 2 leadership role within a dynamic
organization.

The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in public health or
other relevant field with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the SRH or
related field including in a senior management capacity. Additional
requirements are: track record of success with staff and organizational
development, program planning and supervision, project design and
management, including implementation and evaluation; experience in
maintaining sound fiscal practices, including development of budgets;  *strong
oral and written* *communication skills in Spanish and English* with
knowledge of Portuguese a plus; thorough knowledge of political and health
systems in Latin America and/or the Caribbean and experience working in the
region as well as  ability to do some travel.

experience. The position is based in New York.
